Established in 1932, Tollywood is known by the term Tollywood. Bengali's film industry is based in the Tollygunge neighbourhood, West Bengal, and is known since 1932. In the 1930s, Bengali cinema was the hub of Indian film and a quarter of India's film output was accounted for in the 1950's. A study in 2014 reported that, while about 100 films were made in Bengali annually, less than 10% ruptured even financially.
